Bersaglieri
Description
We are a group of living historians who seek to better understand what life was like for the Italian Soldier during the Second World War.
The Bersaglieri are special troops of the Italian Army, originally formed as light infantry in 1836. They are well known for the black feathers worn in their caps and helmets. Italy began WWII with 12 Bersaglieri Regiments who served in Greece, Russia, and various locations in the Mediterranean theater.
Our unit focuses primarily on the Mediterranean theater, participating in events alongside the German units in Army Group 1944.
As a non-political living history organization, we do not support or condone any neo-nazi, extremist, or anti-American organizations or activities.
